Swimming pool construction process.
The plan processing and permitting phase of your swimming pool project have been completed and we are now in the construction phase of the swimming pool project. Below you will find important
information regarding our company’s construction procedures. You will also find information that will help facilitate and ensure the smooth and successful completion of your swimming pool project.
Every morning our construction team meets to discuss and review the status of every single one of our ongoing swimming pool construction projects. At this time, we will confirm and review the last construction activity completed in your project, the next construction activity to be furnished on your project, material orders and deliveries, and inspection requests and results and we will make any necessary modifications to your construction schedule.
In addition to the inspections that will be conducted by the inspectors of the municipality where your swimming pool project corresponds, we also have quality control inspections furnished by our own staff that will certify that the work being done on your swimming pool is being done in a satisfactory and correct manner. There will be several quality control inspections conducted throughout the construction of your swimming pool project. Additionally, after the installation of your deck, a Genie Pools’ representative will contact you to schedule an appointment with you to conduct an inspection and create a Punch List for your swimming pool project. You will have the opportunity at this time to point out any defects that you have observed on the construction of your swimming pool. If necessary, we will subsequently coordinate to rectify and correct these minor defects prior to your swimming pool project being completed. We want to turn over a product to you that is to your complete and total satisfaction. Once your swimming pool construction has been fully completed, a Genie Pools’ representative will contact you once again to schedule a Final Walk-Thru. At this time, you will review the Punch List with our representative to ensure that all items have been addressed and that you are completely satisfied with your project. You will also receive a Close-Out Documents package with all of the manuals and brochures for your swimming pool equipment, as well as all the Warranties. Our representative will also take the time to instruct you on how to operate your pool equipment, as well as provide you with several tips to ensure the proper maintenance of your swimming pool.
Throughout the construction of your swimming pool project, we will try our best to maintain your yard and project area as clean as possible. Construction debris and excess material is typically piled as neatly as possible on-site and removed during the construction process. At the end of the construction of your swimming pool project, we will do a thorough job-site clean up. At this time, any construction debris or excess material will be picked up and hauled away from your job-site.
Please refer to your Swimming Pool Contract for the payment breakdown of your swimming pool project. It is important that you ensure that we receive payment after the completion of each construction activity included in the payment breakdown of your contract. Prompt and timely progress payments will result in an on-time completion date and may even allow our construction team to move up your next construction activity.
There are several ways you can help us ensure the smooth and timely construction of your project. Please make sure you have obtained your homeowner’s association approval (if necessary) prior to your scheduled excavation date. Please make sure access is available at all times throughout the construction project. Prior to construction initiating, It is important that we be aware of any important instructions or codes required to access your community. Help us protect the job-site set of plans. We will provide a water-proof plastic container for the plans. Please do not remove the plans from this location, as the construction crews and inspectors will need them for reference. Lastly and most importantly, please immediately notify us of any potential problems or dangers that you may observe at your job-site.
Please be advised that any Change Orders executed once construction of your swimming pool project has already begun may result in delays of your swimming pool construction resulting from the re-scheduling of any and all affected construction activities. You may also incur increased fees or costs as a result of required plan revisions and/or re-stocking fees for material that had already been delivered to your job-site.
